• Seeing the light - The most comprehensive site I've found documenting Western Great Lakes lighthouses. Terry Pepper, the site's owner, is a walking encyclopedia about Great Lakes lights besides being a good friend.
• The Lighthouse Directory - A nationwide archive of Lighthouse news
• Lighthouse Friends - Photos, directions, and GPS coordinates of lights nationwide
• Night Beacon Lighthouses - Information on lighthouses, the USLHS & USLSS (if you don't know what those are, you'd better go and find out)
• Penrose Lighthouses - The home of the Michigan lighthousers bible, "Traveller's guide to 116 Michigan Lighthouses." If you plan to visit lights in Michigan, you have to own this book. Nice, brief descriptions and good directions to each light.
• U.S. Lighthouses - Another national light list, also has some good articles relating to lighthousing
• Larry's Lights - Travel with Larry from state to state, light to light
• Sea The Lights - Bert's travelouge of his lighthouse journeys
• New England Lighthouses : A Virtual Guide - My friend Jeremy D'Entremont's exhaustive informational archive on lighthouses of New England
• Australian Lighthouses - Information on... Well, the title pretty much says it all.
• Texas Lights Info - Zachary has done a great job of assembling histories and photos of present and destroyed lights from the lone star state

Lighthouse Organizations

• Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association - A wonderful organization dedicated to preservation and education
• South Fox Island Light Restoration Project - A local group formed to preserve and restore this remote light station offshore of Leelanau County, MI
• DeTour Reef Light Preservation Society - What is widely recognized as a model lighthouse preservation organization throughout the country, the DRLPS achieved a miraculous feat with the restoration of their lighthouse, and their mission continues as they maintain it and make it available for tours. I spent a weekend as a keeper on this light and it is one of the finest I have seen.

Online Lighthouse Community

• Lighthousing.net - The best lighthouse message board on the internet, bar none. And a good informational site to boot. I love this site, and I'm sure you will too.

Lighthouse Photography

• Gary Martin Photography - If I'm any kind of a decent photographer, it's because of Gary. I want to be him when I grow up. Look around his site & you'll see what I mean.
• LightDreamer - Ross Tracy is a very talented photographer who concentrates on the lighthouses and scenic beauty of central New England.
• Lighthouse Joe's - 'Having Seen the Lights'... Joe has been around, and has the photos to prove it.
• The Beach Bum's Site - My friend Stephen has a very nice collection of lighthouse images from the central Atlantic coast. He also has the most information I've seen in one place about the U.S. Life Saving Service and the Life Saving Stations of the coast.
• Rod's Photo Gallery - Rod Watson's photography covers the Great Lakes as well as the Atlantic coast from Maine to North Carolina.
• Inspirational Imagery by Jen Selwa - Jen offers her lighthouse photographs printed with Bible verses or inspirational sayings. Some very nice work here.
• Donald Verger Photography - Donald has some wonderful photos of Portland Head, Maine as well as landscape shots. Well worth a look!
